Onsite classes and private lessons.
Oakleigh Recreation Centre (ORC), 2A Park Road, Oakleigh VIC (also Waverley Gymnastics Centre). Entry to the WGC gymnasium is temporarily through the back doors (North Bubble) via Bolch Place. Due to Covid restrictions all patrons must wait outside the facility until ushered in by a Flipping Fit Coach.
Classes run continuously throughout the year (no terms breaks) unless otherwise communicated via email. Classes are not held on Victorian State Public Holidays.
Participants must be 16-59 years (minimum turning 16 that year). Participants over the age of 40 are recommended to obtain a medical clearance before starting. Participants 60+ years considered on special application. Email email@example.com
Gymnastics is considered by insurers to be a high-risk sport however with careful planning, experienced coaching and following instructions the risk of injury is significantly lowered. We recommend new participants enroll in our online classes to build foundations or come with a base of strength and flexibility which will be further developed through regular attendance.
Checking in to Flipping Fit
On arrival at the gymnasium, all participants must be checked in at the gym reception desk and then wait in the foyer until asked to enter the gym by a Flipping Fit staff member. All participants must follow the Covid Safe requirements current at the time.
Late Arrival Policy
For your own safety and the safety of other participants, if you arrive after the official start of the class you may not be permitted to join in.
All participants must purchase annual Insurance Cover through our online Shop by their second class. Insurance is purchased pro rata and expires December 31 each year.
Video and photography footage may be taken during classes for the purpose of skill development and promotion. If you do not consent for your image to be used, inform us in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org

Entering the facility
All participants MUST enter the ORC via the main entrance unless they have an approved security pass which will give access to the gymnasium via the Squad entrance.
The gymnasium is fully air conditioned in summer and heated in winter so temperatures should remain the mild throughout the year.
Toilets & Change Rooms
Located onsite. All participants must leave shoes and bags in the change room lockers provided. Do not leave valuables in change rooms, there is a small shelving area in the gym where valuables can be left.
Participants must wear fitted comfortable clothing, no pockets or zips, no jeans, no jewellery. Shoes not necessary for class. It is recommended to bring socks to wear when using trampolines.
Car Parking & Exiting the Facility
Car parking is available in and around the facility with limits ending at 8pm. After 9pm the ORC front entrance closes so we recommend participants park around the back of the facility (off Bolch Place) to exit after class more swiftly.
Spectators are welcome but must remain in the designated spectator area which is upstairs to the right of the gymnastics reception area.
Due to the enclosed space of a car, it is recommended you do not carpool if you are feeling unwell. Avoid carpooling where possible. More Information
COVID SAFE INFORMATION
We are committed to the safety and protection of our members and staff by developing policies and procedures to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Signs of Covid-19
If showing any signs of sickness or being unwell including sore throat, fever, cough, shortness of breath, do not attend class. Isolate and get a Covid test.
Face masks are to be worn according to latest Government guidelines or as communicated by Flipping Fit.
Entering the building
Participants are to wait in an orderly manner adhering to social distancing requirements. Do not enter the gymnasium until advised by a Flipping Fit staff member.
Persons entering the gymnasium facility may be asked to have their temperature checked. A person who’s temperature which is 38 degrees or above will be denied entry.
It is mandatory for all participants entering the gym to hand sanitize before entry or they will be asked to leave the facility.
Class ratios follow the industry recommendations of 1 coach per 8 gymnasts. Facility ratios may be affected by government guidelines and could change at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email.
During the class equipment is shared and therefore we ask that all participants be mindful of respecting others by maintaining good hygiene practices. Please carry a hand towel if necessary. There will be no shared magnesium chalk. Magnesium chalk may be purchased in our online Shop.
Staff are required to sanitise their hands before entering the gymnastics facility and after coming into contact with participants when spotting. A coach will spot a participant only when absolutely necessary. Our program is designed with very little spotting of skills by the coach and uses equipment to support the athlete instead.
Participants may be asked to physical distance in the gymnasium with floor markings. All gymnasts must follow floor markings as directed by coaches.
Leaving the building
All participants will be required to leave the building via the designated doors immediately at the end of class.
The gymnasium will be cleaned as per Facility policies.
